We are all evolving. We don’t stay the same. Like it or not, we can’t. We evolve because we are constantly coming in contact with external information that influences who we are. In the coaching world we call this the memetic environment. We have a choice whether we evolve positively or negatively. And we cannot expect the teams we lead or anyone else we influence to become anything that we are not willing to become ourselves. We can choose lightness or darkness. Is your personal evolution to inspire and provide light for others?
This question is directly connected to my purpose. Who do I want to become? What is my bigger why? How do I want to show up in the world? It took me months of playing and experimenting to figure out my bigger why. And today I’m feeling a bit disconnected from it. This happens sometimes after I’ve had a really great weekend. My daughter calls it the Sunday Scarys. I’m scared about a whole bunch of stuff and sad about a few things too. And they are all swirling about in my head this morning. When I live from my purpose, I’m living from love and abundance and light. When I’m living from sadness, lack and fear, I’m living from darkness.
Today I will bring the focus back to me. I must choose to take care of myself and do what I need to do to become the person I want to be so I can share my lightness with others. For me, that means getting out of my head, leaving all of the sadness and fear behind and reconnecting with the love that is my heart.
